You sign this piece of paper that says if you don't show up by 7 am then they take it as being symbolic of quitting.

My symbolic gesture is due this Monday as I retire from my life as a mute laundress. I head down south with my dad in his Chevy truck to South Carolina to retrieve my grandma from her post-divorce ramblings.

I am looking forward to this. They both get ruddy and somewhat truculent around each other. I haven't traveled to this part of the Bible belt.

All the streets in her town are named after figures in the Bible. She lives on Able Rd. Perhaps the road out is Cain.
